About the Job

As a founding engineer on the core team, you will have significant ownership across the tech stack and a key voice in early decisions. This is an opportunity to get significant equity, significant responsibility, and ultimately launch Para’s main product & drive the mission and business forward.

This role is in-person, and based in SF/Bay Area or NYC.

In this role, you will:

• Build secure and resilient infrastructure from the ground up
• Review code across the entire stack and engineering organization while actively participating in developing Para’s recovery product
• Influence the product roadmap and direction
• Help scale the product & team

You Have:

• 5+ years of full stack engineering experience where you’ve made significant product-critical contributions
• Experience working with highly scalable and secure systems, preferably in the blockchain space
• Strong intuition for Systems Design; familiarity with complex systems and balancing both nimble iteration required at early stage as well as intuition on scale.
• Built 0→1 products in the past, preferably in startup environments
• A deep product sense and strong intuition for end-user experience and business value
• A strong interest in shaping the blockchain and cryptography space & familiarity using crypto-powered products (exchanges, wallets, DEXs, etc)
• Experience working with Typescript, Go, and AWS
• A desire to work at a very early stage startup (and understanding of the upsides as well as responsibilities that come with a role of this nature)

Nice to have

• Prior blockchain and/or applied cryptography experience, particularly with MPC-based systems
• Prior engineering leadership experience
